JACK MICHAELS
ROLEPLAY: 1/4
WRITTEN BY: Dustin Markowitz

"Jack Michaels came to WFS looking for a way to rejuvinate his already established career. Jack was the first self proclaimed "North American" champion when he won the IC and US titles as well as a Hardcore and Tag-Team champion. Finally, Jack won the World title and held it as the fed took a brief hiatis. Upon its reopening, Jack won the IC title and Hardcore title once again before leaving for other endeavors. He will be known as a hell of a RPer, a hell of a competitor and a legend in WFS."

WFS Hall of Fame Ceremony 12-19-2003
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
(The camera opens up with a shot of the interior of a small soundstage somewhere in Las Vegas, Nevada. The stage is realtively bare and dark when suddenly the lights are flooded on and a chair is suddenly seen in the middle of it. From the right hand side we hear footsteps and stepping into frame is EWE Hall-of-Famer "The Blast" Jack Michaels. Jack looks rather relaxed in a cream suit combo over a white t-shirt and sits down in the chair in front of the camera.)

Jack Michaels: Well here we are... Wrestlemania 7 and for one final match "The Blast" Jack Michaels blows off the old wrestling gear and makes a final run to be at the top... And how great is it that the man I get to face off with will be the person that became the best asshole the world of wrestling had ever seen in Derek Daniels...

(He chuckles slightly and reaches into his suit pocket and produces an 8 by 10 of "Dynamic" Derek Daniels. He looks at it, shakes his head, replaces it in his jacket and then turns back to the camera.)

Jack Michaels: Yeah, I keep that picture close to my heart because I KNOW that when you have a person that tries to emulate everything you have ever done in this sport that you need to know where he is at all times. But hell... Can you blame the boy? I mean I "AM" Jack Michaels for god's sake. Multi-time Hall-of-Famer...Multi-time World Champion... The guy who revolutionized wrestling to what it is today... The guy who banged his mom seven ways from Sunday... All-in-all a good person to want to be if I do say so myself.

(Jack laughs again and stands up pacing a bit in front of the camera.)

Jack Michaels: Now Derek... I know what's going through that steroid infused brain of yours... You're thinking to yourself "I don't give a crap about this 'OLD MAN' and I am just going to whoop his ass at Wrestlemania." So before you start in on the metamucil jokes and the viagra humor let me just say hey... You're right Derek. I am the old man. It's not supposed to be about me anymore... No... It's all about YOU right? YOU are the one people are paying to come see. YOU are the one that the kids inspire to turn into. Yeah maybe I think you are a drugged out and pathetic disgrace to everything wrestling represents but hey... What do I know? I'm just the man who gave you everything aren't I?

(Jack rolls his eyes.)

Jack Michaels: Everything that you ever inspired to be came from ME. Seriously Derek... What were you before Jack Michaels made you a superstar huh? Some half-assed punk basketball player who blew his knee and back out and whined and cried about why life brought you down? What were you before Jack Michaels took you under his wing and SPOON FED you what being a great wrestler was all about? Can you answer me? Can you??? WHAT THE F**K WERE YOU BEFORE I CREATED DEREK DANIELS?!?!?

(For the first time in possibly EWE history we see a very angry and seething Jack Michaels take off his jacket and point into the camera.)

Jack Michaels: You were nothing Derek... A speck of dirt. A piece of trash. A scraped piece of gum that somehow got stuck to the bottom of my boot. And what did I get for making you great Derek? YOU SPIT IN MY FACE. You spit in my face and yet still you are mad at me? You are angry that I am sleeping with your Mom aren't you? Angry that I beat the piss out of you on Chaos? Angry that no matter what you do that the only thing you'll ever be known as is "JACK MICHAELS' SHADOW."

(Jack begins to chuckle again and then allows himself to relax.)

Jack Michaels: But again... What do I know right? Maybe I am wrong... Maybe there are those they can recognize the "greatness" you oh so claim you deserve. So let take a look shall we? Lets take a look at what people honestly think about Derek Daniels. Lets look... Because Derek... It's all about YOU.

(The screen fades to black and comes back up in a documentary style video production. A title card comes across the screen followed by various video clips of people associated with Derek Daniels...)

How would you describe
"Dynamic" Derek Daniels?

Jonathan Steele
EWE Announcer
Jonathan Steele: I've known Derek for a long time and had the opportunity to not only call his matches but to grow up in the business with the man.To be blunt Derek has the talent to be one of the most influential superstars the world has ever seen but instead... Instead he just spits on everything he came from. From a purely wrestling standpoint the man is great. He has done everything and anything he has tried but other then that... He is a lost cause.

Mark Cha0s
EWE Superstar
Mark Cha0s: He is an overrated wrestler, and deep inside, he has no heart for this business. All he cares about is himself; he has no respect for anyone. He may be one of the top stars in this company, but if you frustrate the hell out of him, he will be off his game and you have to know how to take advantage of it.

Christy Chaos
EWE Diva/Former Girlfriend
Christy Chaos: When I first met Derek he was a sweet and kind of a shy but outgoing person you know? He was always friendly and respectful but the more I was with him... Well... To be perfectly blunt Derek is probably the most insecure person I have ever met in my life. With him it was always "why can't people like me?" or "why is so-and-so popular." What a joke... It wasn't just in the ring either. I mean he was so insecure in himself that he used to cry BEFORE we had sex. No joke.

Spider
Former EWE Superstar
Spider: F**k that dude. He wasn't nothin. He was nothin when he was here before, nothin when he came back. Nothin when he tagged with Dutch and even less now cause he's all alone. Man, I'd come back just to whoop his ass for fun... But I don't waste my time on nothin.

Hunter Hearst Helmsley
EWE Superstar/Former Tag-Team Partner
Triple H: Derek is a talented individual but one who always wanted to be the "leader" whenever we were around. I didn't care as it was what it was but damn... The guy was always trying to one up me. As a partner he was decent and I will give credit where credit is due. The guy has been successful but all-in-all Derek Daniels is...

Shawn Michaels: A DICKHEAD.

(Hunter turns to Shawn.)

Triple H: You're not STILL jealous that I teamed with him are you?

Shawn Michaels: Hmph!

Triple H: Come on Shawn... That was like EONS ago.

Shawn Michaels: He sucks sucks SUCKS! Jack is going to kick his ass at Wrestlemania.

Triple H: Oh so you like Jack Michaels but you hate Derek.

Shawn Michaels: Yep.

Triple H: But I teamed with him too you dunce!

(Shawn thinks it over.)

Shawn Michaels: Yeah, but Jack has a really sweet mustache.

(Hunter just shakes his head.)

Abdul Q
EWE Superstar/International Champion
Abdul Q: I think he's overrated, a flunky f**k, ignorant, obsessive... He cares about no one but himself, probably plays with himself late at night when nobody is watching to boost his own ego. He's a joke of a champion; it was a travesty that he was even given a second chance in EWE. He's classless, immoral, the smuggest douchebag I've ever met and I can't wait to see his ultimate demise at Wrestlemania.

(Abdul begins to turn away from the camera but stops.)

Abdul Q: Furthermore... He's also extremely uncreative, he can never come up with an idea by himself. His lack of originality is shocking, the only thing that hangs him by a thread, is his ability to rebuttal a response from an opponent. He'd make a great politician, but a great champion? No, he just won the belt by chance; his lack of creative spark is what will lead him to losing the belt. He can't defend for s**t, even as tag team champions, Dutch Clark carried him through every single defense.

Mr. Man
EWE Superstar
Mr. Man: Derek? Asshole. Next question.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

(The camera comes back on Jack who stands there with a relatively smug look on his face. He smiles softly.)

Jack Michaels: Very interesting isn’t it? Not a whole lot of fans there pulling for the great Derek Daniels is there? Not a whole lot of support for what you think you have accomplished…

(Jack picks up his jacket and puts it back on before retaking a seat in the chair.)

Jack Michaels: You know… I was glad. I was glad to see the reaction on your face when I defiled your mother. I was glad to see pain cross your brow when I strapped you like the little pathetic dog you are. I was glad when you looked at me holding your “prized” possession and wondering what you were going to do to try and exact your revenge. The problem you are going to run into is how exactly are you going to get revenge on someone like me?

(Jack leans forward in the chair and the camera begins to slowly zoom towards his face.)

Jack Michaels: You see… There is nothing for me to lose come Wrestlemania Derek. There is nothing for me to have to fight for that I haven’t already accomplished. I mean what… You think I really want your Undisputed title? It’s a goal sure but what does a title mean to a guy who has held a hundred? Not much. And since I can see your wheel turning no… I’m not looking to just be the old guy who wants that last run at the top. No Derek… I only have one reason for taking this match and it’s beyond fighting for me or fighting for a belt or avenging Dutch Clark or even representing the Mean Machine School of Wrestling. My reason, Derek, is to hurt you. My reason, Derek, is to cripple you. My reason, Derek, is to prove what all of those superstars already know and that is that you’re a gutless worm that needs to be put out of his misery.

(The camera stops with just a shot of Jack’s face as he glares into the camera.)

Jack Michaels: You see… Everyone wants me to do the same thing and that is break you in ways you can’t possibly imagine. I have no need for what you have because I ALREADY HAVE IT. I created you, I nourished you and now… Now I will destroy you. This is usually where I say that it’s going to be a blast but honestly… It’s not. No… It’s going to be a god damn massacre. See you at Wrestlemania.

(The camera slowly fades out to black…)

DEREK DANIELS
ROLEPLAY: 1/4
WRITTEN BY: Jon North

All we see is static and all we hear is static for the first few minutes and then on every TV screen in the EWE viewing area, we see “Dynamic” Derek Daniels with a smirk on his face. He seems to have a handheld camera with him and has put it on something that we can’t see as he stands with his arms crossed. He isn’t the usual handsome, dashing Derek. His hair isn’t gelled, his muscles aren’t flexing, and instead they are hidden behind a hooded sweatshirt and a pair of baggy jogging pants, both in the color black. He has a smile on his face as he waves to the camera and we can’t quite see behind him, but we can tell wherever he is, he’s enjoying it. It’s a dreary night, with rain falling but that doesn’t damper the spirits or Derek Daniel’s mood.

“Dynamic” Derek Daniels: So I bet you’re wondering at home…Hey Derek…Why aren’t you in EWE studios cutting some fancy promo, why aren’t EWE cameras following you around, you have a big match coming up you know…A match against a man…Hell, a ‘legend’. If you want to call him that.

He paces back and forth with his hands behind his back. He seems to be cold, calculating. Something we don’t see a lot of Derek doing but still a pondering smile upon his face.

“Dynamic” Derek Daniels: So I first just want to set the record straight for all of you at home. You see, you people at home see a different Jack Michaels than I do. You at home see a hero, a buffed up, ‘ladies man’ who struts in the EWE and struts around like he is king of the roost, king of the castle. You guys at home see that…I see something different…Oh, I’ll give Jack his due. He’s been through a lot, he’s conquered foes that some can only dream of. I’m not here to bash Jack. I’m here to give him his due and bow down to the ‘master’…Bow down to my ‘teacher’.

Every time he uses these words he uses a smart tone as he says it he makes the quotation motion with his hands and then laughs a bit. He then bows sarcastically and presents his arm out while still looking up at the camera.

“Dynamic” Derek Daniels: But as I’m giving Jack Michaels his due. I also want to point out something else. You see, don’t let Jack fool you kiddies at home…Jack Michaels is a scared little bitch. Quite frankly I have never seen Jack act like this before…You see, he attacked me from behind on Chaos, which he really likes…Attacking men from behind…He tried to make a move on my slut of a mom and he’s tried to get into my head this whole time leading up to this match. I laugh.

He smirks.

“Dynamic” Derek Daniels: I laugh because the thing Jack Michaels taught me, and the number one lesson I remember, is you want your opponent to care more than you do about the match. That may sound crazy, but it’s true. Do I want this match more than Jack Michaels? Probably. The thing is, Jack is trying to get me emotionally involved in this match. He wants me to get on the EWE television and scream and moan and cry about how I’m going to wail on him all over the ring. He wants me to go out and be all emotional.

Derek nods and he picks up the camera and as he is walking he holds it on his face as he talks. We can’t really see where he’s going, but slowly he’s walking toward what seems like a building just a block or so away.

“Dynamic” Derek Daniels: You see, I never really knew what Jack was talking about during that lesson. I had no idea what he meant by saying you want your opponent to care. It took the biggest piece of shit on the planet, Johnny Chaos to make me realize what he was talking about, and it happened when Johnny pinned me for the Undisputed Championship a few months ago. He walked out of that match Undisputed Champion…Why?...

Derek nods.

“Dynamic” Derek Daniels: He made us get emotionally involved in the match. He burned down the building that Mean Machine School of wrestling lived in. I can honestly say I have never seen that look in Jack’s eye before, when I watched the Mean Machine School of Wrestling burn to the ground. Something stirred in me that day, and when Johnny Chaos single handedly make Dutch and I look like fools…I realized what Johnny had done…He made us care…You see that’s what Jack is trying to make me do…He’s trying to make me care about something that…Quite frankly I don’t care about.

Derek keeps walking and we see him slowly walk towards two double doors. He puts the camera down for a second and hides it in his jacket pocket but we can see out into the lobby where a woman sits at a reception desk.

Reception Lady: How can I help you this evening sir?

We can only hear Derek’s voice, not see his face.

“Dynamic” Derek Daniels: Yes..I’m here to see a dear friend of mine named Dutch Clark, I think he’s up on the third floor?

The woman nods but smiles politely at Derek.

Reception Lady: Well, yes but we are sorry visiting hours are closed at 10 o clock every night unless you are on the list of close associates or family…

We can almost see the smirk that’s on Derek’s face, but we can hear the laughter in his voice as he shuffles his feet a bit as he walks closer to the desk.

“Dynamic” Derek Daniels: The name is Jonathan Steele. I’m a reporter for the EWE and a close friend of Dutch’s. I should be on the list, I’m sure Jack put me on there somewhere.

The reception lady looks at him for a moment before sliding her finger down the list and then she finds the name and nods with a smile and then looks back up to Derek.

Reception Lady: I’ll need some identification.

Derek rummages in his pocket and sure enough he brings down a EWE identification card with Jonathan Steele’s picture on the front. With a smile and she slides it back across to see if he matches the one on record, she then nods.

Reception Lady: Thank you Mr. Steele. A few people have been by to see Mr. Clark today, and with his rabid fan base we’ve had to put tighter security on the room. He’s been through some tests today, but he seems to be recovering fine.

Derek nods and makes his way slowly toward the elevator and presses the button before slowly removing the camera. At the point he slowly removes the hood on his head and has a sick smile on his face as he goes up the elevator.

“Dynamic” Derek Daniels: Back to what I was saying about you…Jack Michaels. Do you think I don’t see right through that little plan of yours? Go ahead and make fun of me for being a drug head, go ahead and make fun of me for sleeping with my mom—your loss on that one. Go ahead and sneak attack me. It’s all a scare tactic. And by-GOD Jack you’ve created a man who cannot be scared. You see, while you’ve been out trotting around and imitating Rick Rude. I’ve created my own identity, and I bet it sucks Jack to look at me, and realize that you help create what I have become.

The elevator stops and Derek slowly tucks the camera back into his jacket and then he steps out of the elevator as he passes a couple of guards who seem to be going off duty. He keeps his head tucked as he walks and finally he reaches a private room which reads “D.Clark” on the front. Derek smirks.

“Dynamic” Derek Daniels: You see Jack. I just wanted to know what Dutch thought about all this, you know that favorite student of yours whom you trained so hard. I figured I would go visit my old tag partner for old time sake but it seems my name wasn’t on the list of visitors….Hmm, odd.

Derek smirks and slowly opens the door. The room is dark and sure enough we see the Irish Fury himself propped up in the bed, weak and sleeping from the tests and recovery process he doesn’t notice the door open or close. We stand in pitch darkness for a moment with only Derek’s voice at a whisper.

“Dynamic” Derek Daniels: You see Jack…There are only a handful of guys who can stand toe to toe with me in the EWE and sorry to say. You aren’t one of them…I would like to know who calls you a legend besides yourself and your lackeys that you have drinking the kool-aid at Mean Machine School of Wrestling, because if you are a legend…Then God damn Jack…I’m a king…I’m fucking royalty compared to you. You’ve won a bunch of titles that nobody has ever heard of—made up probably and let’s look at your Mean Machine School of Wrestling where you help teach up and coming wrestlers…Let’s see…There’s me…Dutch Clark…And….Hmm…Nobody else worth mentioning.

Derek slowly walks over—we hear his feet shuffling as he makes his way over to a light and flips it on and we see Dutch, frail and pale as Derek walks over to lock the door.

“Dynamic” Derek Daniels: I can go out in the ring at Wrestlemania and literally take a shit right in the middle of it and say I’ve done more than you in your entire career, because it’s a joke and a lie. At Wrestlemania I am going to show the world what a scared and pitiful old man you are and what a fraud and a coward you really are. In fact, that’s why I’ve come to this hospital. So my friend and partner, Dutch Clark can explain to the world how big of a fraud you really are…I’ve set up an interview with Dutch…

Derek proceeds to walk over to ‘set the interview up’ he roughly grabs Dutch by the collar and begins to roughly remove the cords and things that are connected to him. He then rolls the wheelchair up to the bed and pushes Dutch out of the bed and tries to land him into the chair but instead he plops down on the floor roughly, still barely stirring because of the medication.

“Dynamic” Derek Daniels: Oh, Dutch you are so clumsy. Here let me help you up…Have you been drinking again? Jeeze, come up…Up you get.

Derek grabs him around the small of the back and picks him up and slowly walks him over to the wheelchair and puts him down in it and then straps him in tightly before slowly wheeling him out of the room, but not before running him into the wall, the door, the bed and everything else on the way. They quickly move down the hall and into the hall with the staircase. Derek pulls out a EWE microphone and then sets the camera up on the set of stairs so both of them can be seen. Derek puts on his best Jonathan Steele impression (it’s terrible).

“Dynamic” Derek Daniels: Jonathan Steele here with EWE television and I’m with the one and only…Irish Fury…Dutch Clark. How are you feeling today Dutch? I see you are getting a bit better.

Instead of holding the microphone a couple of inches from his mouth, Derek literally just lets the microphone go against Dutch’s lips with a small thump. Derek nods and laughs like Dutch is actually talking as his head slowly tilts back.

‘Dynamic” Derek Daniels: Come on now…Don’t go to sleep on me, this isn’t a Jack Michaels match….Hey…Hey wake up.

Derek begins snapping his finger in front of Dutch’s face trying to get him to wake up, finally Derek roughly grabs Dutch by the head and pulls his face forward a bit.

“Dynamic” Derek Daniels: Anyway, so…Dutch. Who do you think is going to win the EWE Undisputed Title match between Jack Michaels and Derek Daniels?

Dutch doesn’t say a word as Derek puts the microphone directly on his lips once again. We can only hear Dutch’s shallow breathing.

“Dynamic” Derek Daniels: Oh come on now Dutch, you’ve got to give me more than that? Who do you think is going to win the match? Derek Daniels…Or Jack Michaels…It’s simple…Just answer…Derek Daniels.

He holds the microphone up once more but Dutch doesn’t say anything. Derek shakes his head a bit and then turns to the camera which is still on the stairs.

“Dynamic” Derek Daniels: So this is where we see the end of Dutch Clark, Jack. You see, you want to act like that ‘you’ made me, that ‘you’ are the reason I am who I am…Well in a way you’re right. The fact is Jack…To be in a person’s shadow that person has to create a shadow…You don’t. It’s the other way around Jack. I MADE YOU….

Derek smirks.

“Dynamic” Derek Daniels: I find it hilarious that you went through the trouble of getting all of those superstars to say something about me…I appreciate the thought of you letting them all do a promo for you because you are obviously too busy to cut one yourself. You wasted a lot of time Jack to have all of those people tell me something I already know…Everything Jonathan Steele said…

Derek holds up a finger to count off the people.

“Dynamic” Derek Daniels: TRUE….

Derek holds up two fingers.

“Dynamic” Derek Daniels: Everything Mark Chaos said about me being overrated and no heart for the business…TRUE….

Derek holds up three fingers.

“Dynamic” Derek Daniels: Everything Christy Chaos said….Whatever…True…Well except one thing…I never had sex with her, different story for a different time…

Derek smirks and holds up a fourth finger.

“Dynamic” Derek Daniels: Everything Spider said…TRUE…I am nothing…I’ve never been nothing...

Derek laughs again and holds up a fifth finger.

“Dynamic” Derek Daniels: Everything Abdul said…TRUE…

Derek finally shakes his head and lowers his hand.

“Dynamic” Derek Daniels: You see, that’s the difference between you and I Jack…I accept everything that I am. I accept that I was a drugged out loser…I accept that every EWE superstar thinks I am nothing, a worthless trashy nobody. I accept the fact everyone doesn’t like me…And by God…I don’t give a damn what any of them think…I don’t care what Abdul thinks…I don’t care what Mr. Man thinks…I don’t care what Jonathan Steele thinks and I don’t care what Spider thinks and quite frankly…I don’t care what you think Jack…

Slowly he walks around behind Dutch and places his hands on the back of the wheelchair to wheel Dutch back to his room.

“Dynamic” Derek Daniels: Because what can you do with a man who has nothing to lose anymore Jack? What do you do with a man who doesn’t care if you beat the hell out of him…What do you with a man who isn’t afraid to lose, or isn’t afraid to die trying…Because right now I’m on top of this mountain Jack and I look down and I see all of these competitors itching for a chance at my title…And it’s going to take one hell of a man to knock me off…That man…Isn’t going to be you…

Instead of wheeling Dutch back to the safety of the room, Derek takes one look at the camera and we barely see him inch out of frame and gives the wheelchair a good hearty shove down the stairs. We don’t see it but we hear the crashing and the thump of a body and then we hear people screaming and running as Derek reaches down to grab the camera with a smirk on his face as the scene fades to black.

DEREK DANIELS
ROLEPLAY: 2/4
WRITTEN BY: Jon North

The scene opens outside of what seems like an old abandoned church. It’s rather creepy on the outside and it doesn’t help as we can hear rain as the scene slowly opens and the flash of lightning illuminates the church and silhouettes the house of worship against the night sky. Slowly we see a figure move out of the shadows and toward the church, wearing a long, elaborate rain coat to cover itself from the rain, we get closer to see the figure inch slowly closer to the church. The figure wraps his hand around the door and flings it open and then steps inside. The cameras follow the figure inside of the church and soon we find ourselves locked inside of the church with the shadowy figure. His body only lit by a few candles around the alter and as the lights flash we see a crucifix right above where the person is standing. The person removes his hood and we see that it’s Derek Daniels with a devilish smirk on his face as the candle lights flicker on and off his face.

Slowly, making a show of it he slowly bows at the altar, and he still has that devilish smirk on his face as he does. His eyes go up to meet the crucifix above the altar and now his eyes do not break from the cross and the figure upon it which we can only assume is Jesus Christ. Slowly Derek pulls out two cans of gasoline and a lighter, but he slides them to the side to be forgotten about until later.

“Dynamic” Derek Daniels: Forgive me father…For I…Have sinned…Or plan on sinning because Lord. I really don’t think I can let Jack Michaels walk out of Wrestlemania alive…You see, at this point I just want to rip him, limb from limb and beat him from pillar to post and I want to let him know this isn’t the same person he trained…Derek Daniels isn’t Derek Daniels anymore…I’ve changed and it’s for the better.

He smiles and slowly removes his jacket to reveal the Undisputed Title around his waist and he slowly sets it up on the altar, his eyes still locked on the crucifix about the alter, the audience can only see when the lightning flashes. The storm rages on outside as Derek keeps his eyes to the heavens.

“Dynamic” Derek Daniels: I just want you to somehow put in Jack’s head that…He’s not going to make it through the night at Wrestlemania, and I just want him to know that at Wrestlemania his career comes to an end, a very, very bitter end. You see, I don’t think Jack understands that not even…You…Can save him. I don’t think Jack understands that he’s fighting a different animal that he’s never fought before. I don’t think Jack comprehends that he’s going to be facing someone that will never back down from him and someone who is going to literally take his legacy and spit on it, stomp on it and throw it in the garbage right in the middle of the ring at Wrestlemania.

Derek folds his hands as if in a praying motion as the thunder rolls outside and a streak of lightning lights up the scene once more as Derek is still in his kneeling position.

“Dynamic” Derek Daniels: But don’t blame me for what is about to happen to him Lord…Put the blame on Jack Michaels. Put the blame on Jack Michaels for my ego…Put the blame on Jack Michaels for the way I’ve become…Jack Michaels claims that he made me famous Lord, but what was Jack Michaels before Derek Daniels got famous? An absolute nobody. Lord, forgive him for his lies; he knows not what he does. Forgive him for getting hit in the head one too many times and now he thinks he’s held all these titles.

Derek slowly stands up from his kneeling position and then stands up in the front of the altar with his hands out to either side as he casts a shadow across the chapel floor by candlelight, lightning flashes as his sick smirk is still on his face.

“Dynamic” Derek Daniels: Jack will realize that nothing, nothing can save him from what is coming and what he will be facing. I have a new religion for him, and that is the religion of Derek Daniels. It’s the religion that will truly set him free of the temptations of this world…It’s the religion that is such a ride it’s going to leave him laying flat of his back in the middle of the ring at Wrestlemania in Arlington…And it’s going to be ugly…You see Jack…I AM YOUR SAVIOR NOW…

Derek slowly walks over to the alter and slowly walks into the pulpit where he stands overlooking the empty seats where nobody sits, dust particles float towards the ceiling and back down to the floor as the lightning strikes again as the candles flicker as the thunder rattles the old church house. Derek reaches down in the pulpit and pulls out an old, dusty bible and plops it down onto the table and opens it up and begins reading with the same smirk on his face, something about the smirk tells us all that this trip to the church isn’t religious at all.

“Dynamic” Derek Daniels: Have you given the horse its strength or clothed its neck with a flowing mane? Did you give it the ability to leap like a locust? Its majestic snorting is terrifying! It paws the earth and rejoices in its strength when it charges out to battle. It laughs at fear and is unafraid. It does not run from the sword. The arrows rattle against it, and the spear and javelin flash. It paws the ground fiercely and rushes forward into battle when the ram’s horn blows. It snorts at the sound of the horn. It senses the battle in the distance.

Derek smirks and looks up, the shiny, Undisputed title still at the altar right below where Derek is standing in the pulpit where he preaches to an empty church.

“Dynamic” Derek Daniels: No Jack…You didn’t. You didn’t give this man his strength. You didn’t clothe me with my ring attire, you didn’t give me the ability to leap into the air and now you are staring into the eyes of something you think you created…You have no idea what I have become. I laugh at you trying to scare me and I will not run from you, I’ll bring the fight to you Jack Michaels. When the bell sounds…I WILL rush into battle…I won’t shy away from it….

Derek steps out of the pulpit and lets the bible fall to the ground as he walks down to the front of the altar and picks up the title belt and slides it back around his waist where he snaps it together in the back while looking around at the church.

“Dynamic” Derek Daniels: Jack, I don’t know your beliefs, and quite frankly I could care less in who or what you believe in…But whatever it is…Whether its Jesus Christ or some alien from Mars…Nothing can save you. Nothing can save you because at Wrestlemania…That ring is going to be your church…That ring is where you are going to find your salvation. You can pay your ties and you can put money in the offering plate…But nothing will save you from the hand of God…Because Jack…I am your God now…

Derek smirks as the lightning strikes and he pulls the large raincoat back over his shoulders and around his body as he pulls it tight and flips the hood back over his head.

“Dynamic” Derek Daniels: And that ring is where I will crucify you, embarrass you and humble you for all to see. The ropes will be your altar to kneel in front of, begging me to stop, begging me for forgiveness from all that you’ve done and all that you’ve said…The turnbuckles will be the pulpit where I will be preaching from, and where the hand of God will strike from. The ring will also be your baptism. As your blood flows from your head and your aching body into my hands…I’ll keep digging and punching and beating into your flesh until there is nothing left but a pool of blood where I leave you to suffer.

Derek smirks as he walks over to blow the candles out and he stands over each of them. There are quite a few lined up in the front of the church.

“Dynamic” Derek Daniels: You can laugh all of this off as a joke Jack, you can play one of those oh-so-many cards that I’ve seen you play where you will either be super mad and act all psychotic all of a sudden. Or you can play it off as super cocky and pretend you aren’t worried about it but I know deep down just like you know deep down that this is the ultimate teacher versus student…There is no respect left…There is no going back from here and there is no mending what is now broken…I came back to EWE for one reason and one reason only…To prove everyone wrong and to pay back Johnny Chaos….Now you come in and stick your nose in everything…

Derek blows out the first candle and then moves to the second candle to blow it out and then pauses for a second before he gets to the other one and looks up with the same smirk on his face.

“Dynamic” Derek Daniels: You see Jack, you have quite the following and while I’ve tried my best to get to some of them…It just wasn’t happening…Too well protected to start a fight with, but I happened to find someone who seems to have slipped from your grasp…Hold on and let me introduce him since you’ve seemed to forgot about him.

Slowly Derek walks down the aisle and throws open the door. He walks out into the pouring rain and storm and soon he comes walking with something over his back in what appears to be a burlap sack. He drops it and smirks.

“Dynamic” Derek Daniels: You see Jack, I’m about to show who you really are. I happened to find this guy working at an independent show in town. You want to talk about how you made me, how great of a teacher you are, yet you let someone slip through the cracks. You let him struggle in Mexico his whole career and not help him get a foot in the door…And now you’ve left him out to dry…

Derek removes the burlap sack and Jon North—one of Jack Michael’s strongest followers and most loyal disciples falls to the floor still wearing his wrestling tights and a luchadore mask. He looks a bit dazed with his hands tied behind his back but Derek reaches down and jerks the mask off of Jon’s head and Jon stirs a bit.

Jon North: Please…Derek…You’ve got to listen to me man…Don’t do this. Save it for Jack, not me…Not me. I’ve never done anything to you…Come on man.

Derek kicks Jon square in the mouth which causes his mouth to bust open and a tooth goes flying across the church as the candles flicker on the scene as the thunder rolls, lightning flashes.

“Dynamic” Derek Daniels: Oh, but where is Jack, Jon? I don’t see him running in to make the save while you are about to get taught a lesson. I don’t see him getting mad over what I’m about to do to you…I doubt he even cares…Which makes this even more sweet Jon…Jack left you out to dry. You’ve been under his wing since the HCW days…What has he done for you…TELL ME!

Derek pulls Jon up by the hair of his head easily and Jon turns his head and then spits right in Derek’s face. Derek laughs as the spit and blood runs down his cheek. He keeps laughing and then drops Jon hard on the floor and kicks him in the head before wiping the spit and blood off of his cheek.

“Dynamic” Derek Daniels: NOTHING. That’s what he’s done for you…NOTHING…Now Jack, I show you what the hand of God can do to you…Now Jack I show you I mean business because now…You’re going to see that I am a man with nothing to lose and I am going to reveal you as the fraud you are. You claim to be an icon…a legend and a hero…I’m going to prove you to be the opposite. You are nobody’s hero, you are a legend to nobody and you are far, far from a hero Jack Michaels…You see a hero would be able to stop what is about to happen to our good friend Jon North…

Derek slowly walks over to Jon who is still spitting up blood and picks him up and tosses him into the altar and he falls down and then slowly Derek grabs him by the legs and literally throws him into the first row of pews where he collapses.

“Dynamic” Derek Daniels: You see, Jack you are going to meet your maker…Just like Jon is about to do…His life is in my hands Jack…Just like yours is going to be at Wrestlemania. Come on Jon…Let’s teach Jack a lesson shall we.

Slowly Derek gets on his knees and laughs at Jon writhing in pain as he pulls out from under the pews a huge cross. He smirks and picks up Jon and shoves him roughly out of the way, with his hands tied he falls and trips, bleeding now from the impact earlier. Derek lays the cross out in the middle of the church and then grabs a few other things and sets behind him.

“Dynamic” Derek Daniels: Maybe…Maybe some say I’ve gone too far. Some may say that I’ve lost it…I’ve not lost it…I’ve never been more alive and I’ve never known who I am more than these times in my life. Abdul wants to tell you; Jack that I’m not creative…How is this for creativity? Do I get a 10 for creativity? I hope you enjoy this like I am, or better yet…I hope you don’t even care what’s happening. So I can show you as the fraud you really are.

Derek walks over and grabs Jon by the hair once more and after slamming his head into the alter and causing the blood to gush, Derek takes some on both of this hands and looks down and laughs before sliding the now unconscious Jon North to the cross where he ties his hands and feet up. He then lifts the cross up and props it right under the crucifix in the church.

“Dynamic” Derek Daniels: I just want you to remember this scene Jack as you try and make me get emotionally involved in this match. I want you to remember this scene as you try to sleep with my slut mother. I want you to remember this scene when you go to Reno and burn down my home…Do it…I dare you…I want you to remember this scene when and if you try and sneak attack me again like you did on Chaos..I want you to remember this scene when you are lying flat of your back in the arena at Wrestlemania and you realize that you’ve gave it your all, everything you have left and it wasn’t good enough to beat me, someone whom you considered a son…a brother…and a friend. But this isn’t the story of the prodigal son…I won’t be coming back or trying to find my way back home…I’ll be standing over you after the three count with my belt held high…And you’ll be staring up at the lights thinking there is nothing more you could have done…Just like now…There is nothing more you can do Jack, but sit back and watch at what I’m about to do…

Slowly Derek pulls out the cans of gasoline he had been hiding this whole time and he soaks the place and all around Jon, but none on him. He empties both cans before throwing the cans to the side and grabbing the lighter.

“Dynamic” Derek Daniels: Because I don’t have to have people fight my battles for me Jack. I don’t have to have people say what they think about you because that’s why I am where I am with the title around my waist. Because quite frankly I can fight my own wars without anybody…Can you? It’s yet to be seen.

Slowly Derek walks to the front doors of the church and slowly closes the doors behind him, but he leaves a small crack big enough to throw the lighter in. He smirks as he slowly flicks the lighter until the flame comes and then he tosses it toward the cracked door and the whole place erupts in flames behind him as he walks down the steps. The screams from Jon North can be heard as he has now woken up from the head trauma that Derek had caused.

“Dynamic” Derek Daniels: Let those screams haunt your sleep and let the thoughts of me beating you to within an inch of your life Jack…Let that haunt your dreams…What I’m doing to Jon…Nothing personal on his part but it just shows that I am your maker Jack…I’m the judge and the jury…I’m Satan…I’m God…I’m Heaven and I’m Hell…All wrapped up into this man they call Derek Daniels…And by God if I had any religion to begin with…I don’t have any left tonight…And I won’t have any left after Wrestlemania because what I’m going to do to you Jack is beyond biblical proportions…It’s apocalyptic and for you, it’s the end of the world, the rapture, 2012 and everything in between. At Wrestlemania you will realize that the monster across the ring isn’t your student…He’s his own man…And that own man will destroy you and eat you alive…Because Jack…This isn’t about you…

Derek turns and slowly walks away from the building, the screams of Jon North echo’s through the night as he walks from the burning church, as he walks you can hear him say one more thing before the feed goes out…

“Dynamic” Derek Daniels: It’s all…about…ME…..

The feed cuts with the sound of rubble crashing and we are left not knowing if Jon North survives or not.

JACK MICHAELS
ROLEPLAY: 2/4
WRITTEN BY: Dustin Markowitz

"I don’t like Jack Michaels. I don’t like Derek Daniels. Both those infidels can go burn in hell as far as I’m concerned. I’ve never faced Derek Daniels, but if I did, I would given him an early death. I faced Jack Michaels once, and I lost. Because just like typical American hypocrisy, equality is never free. The referee unable to accept that I was the better man, pandered to the milk brigade, and stole the opportunity for me to rightfully take what was mine. I will never forget Jack Michaels, I will never forgive EWE. If you asked me who would win at Wrestlemania between Jack Michaels and Derek Daniels, I’d say neither, because I’d bomb them to an early grave before they even had the chance of putting on a classic for you people. You’re pathetic. The lot of you."

Muhammad Hassan in EWE Magazine 4-20-2011

“To be perfectly honest… The fact that Hassan even admitted that I beat him is good enough for me. Oh and how was the falafal he served you?”

Jack Michaels on EWE.COM 4-21-2011

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

(The camera opens up with a shot of the busy hallway in the back of the arena in beautiful Arlington, Texas It is an extremel busy day as various EWE crew members run around doing their various duties attempting to get things ready for Wrestlemania. Amongst the crew we see one figure emerge as people begin clearing a path and that figure is none-other-then EWE Undisputed Champion "Dynamic" Derek Daniels. Walking through with the Undisputed title over his shoulder and a smug grin on his face, he makes his way to the door to his locker room and is about to open it when he notices a small package taped to it. He furrows his eyebrows a bit and grabs it as he walks in realizing that a DVD is inside. He looks at it oddly and then shrugs before walking it over to the online Blu-Ray player that is set up in the locker room. He places it in, hits play and watches the scene.)

(We are greeted to a shot of a golf ball teed up and a man leaning on a golf club. As we pan up his legs we get to the top and see it is "The Blast" Jack Michaels with his eyes closed and a small smile on his face. He takes a deep breath and lets it out enjoying the warm air and cool breeze. He opens his eyes and begins to speak.)

Jack Michaels: Ahhh... This really is god's country out here isn't it Derek? Well... You are still into golf aren't you? I mean you were a caddie for all that time before I got your ass a job in EWE so you would have to LOVE the game right? But wow... Who would of thought in the land of cowboys and horses that you would find a golf course of such beauty. It's almost like you sometimes have to look beyond the mask and see the truth underneath. But you don't have anything like that do you Derek? No... As they say what they see is what they get with you and according to you... You're just a bad-ass mofo who is going to stop at nothing to "destroy" me and get the accolades you supposedly deserve.

(Jack pauses and scratches his chin before shrugging.)

Jack Michaels: It's a cute notion there Derek but I'm still not entirely convinced. You see... I think that I might have been going about this all wrong between you and I. In fact I think that maybe, just maybe, I misread what you were really trying to get. The fact is Derek you're not looking to destroy me... Oh no... You are reaching out to me so I can give you a few more pointers on how to be a man. You want your mentor to give you a couple more lessons in life and honestly, who am I to deny you an opportunity like that? So I figure maybe a good way to go about this is a little vocabulary to showcase a very important lesson in life. I like to call it...

(Suddenly captions appear on the screen as Jack narrates them out loud.)

CAUSE AND EFFECT

Jack Michaels: So what exactly is “cause and effect?” Well to put it simply cause and effect is the results of any action that you do. For example if I swing this golf club and connect with this ball…

(Jack leans down and lines up his shot on the fairway and just blasts the ball 275 yards down field. He smiles a bit and turns back to the camera.)

Jack Michaels: The ball goes flying towards the green. Now this doesn’t just apply here in golf by any means… Not in the least bit. You see Derek, It also applies in life. So lets do a little vocabulary definitions in order to demonstrate this point. Word number one;

VAGINA

Jack Michaels: Now in the purest sense of the word a “vagina” is the female sex organ. A secondary definition is “what Derek Daniels is.” A “vagina”, or pussy if you will, is the kind of person who tries to make himself seem bigger then he is by intimidation or willful acts of malice. Case in point… A person like you going down to go visit Dutch Clark and trying to act big and bad by hosting a mock interview and then tossing him down stairs. You see Derek, only a vagina like you would think that beating up a CANCER PATIENT would come off as tough or scary. I mean seriously, what’s next? You head over to the Ronald McDonald House and beat the s**t out of some leukemia patients? But then again... Knowing you… You might. But hey, lets move on to our next word shall we? Word number two is;

DOUCHEBAG

Jack Michaels: Now a “douchebag,” or a bag of douche, is what a woman uses to clean her Vagina of any disgusting and nasty residue. Another secondary definition is again “what Derek Daniels is.” You see only a true “douchebag,” such as yourself, would take the time out of his life to make a trip all the way to Mexico to go find a semi-retired friend of mine and then act like he is the Reverend I.P. Freely in some derelict church. Only a true “douchebag” would preach a twisted version of the good book to Jon North before beating him and burning down the church with him inside it. Are we starting to learn this lesson yet Derek? Maybe we should move on to the next word which is;

DELUSIONAL

Jack Michaels: Ah you see someone who is delusional has a tendency to go around seeing flying leprechauns or magical dildos and then tells everyone about their mystical properties. Now you see Derek, when you talk about fighting me and ending my career you become “delusional.” When you rant and rave about the respect you somehow think you’ve earned you become “delusional.” When you piss and moan about how things have been done wrong to you… Hey, you guessed it, you become “delusional.” So I guess you can say that a secondary definition of delusional is again, “what Derek Daniels is.” Wow… Isn’t learning fun??? So lets review shall we...

DEREK DANIELS
DELUSIONAL, DOUCHEBAG, VAGINA

(Jack looks down at the display and chuckles to himself before looking back up into the camera.)

Jack Michaels: A delusional, douchebag vagina Derek… Really suiting for a man like you if I do say so myself. However just knowing the definitions of this words isn’t going to help teach you cause and effect… Oh no… We need to put it into action.

(Jack begins walking towards where he hit his ball and he continues speaking as he walks.)

Jack Michaels: I could talk about how the cause and effect of these actions are going to lead to me beating you until you are nothing more then a pile of bone and blood. I could talk about how these actions are going to lead to me taking every bit of talent I gave you back. Hell, I could even talk about how in the end you are going to look up at me with one dull cow eye and see me holding that Undisputed title you consider to be your crowning achievement… But I won’t.

(Jack stops walking for a second and then looks into the camera with a serious expression.)

Jack Michaels: You probably think that is strange from me right… And maybe it is. But you see I won’t because I don’t think I need to go down that path again. You and I both know that come Wrestlemania that you are going to get the beating of a lifetime whether you want it or not. You and I also know that there is no coming back from this for either one of us. One of us is going to be laying face down at the end of Wrestlemania as a bloody shell of what we once were. Of course… That’s if one of us makes it to Wrestlemania.

(Jack smiles again and continues back on his path.)

Jack Michaels: You see the cause and effect I am speaking of isn’t about how your actions affect me but rather how they affect other people. I mean I am not the only one who watched you on television. Hell, EWE is one of, if not, the most widely watched federations in the world right? And since EWE is ALLLLLL about you Derek… I’d like to introduce you to a couple friends of mine.

(Jack stops walking in front of about five uniformed police officers who stand at the ready towards the edge of the golf course. They all look stony faced into the camera as Jack stops and tilts his chin up.)

Jack Michaels: Arlington Police Department… One of the finest in the nation. The also happen to be one of your biggest fans Derek. I mean you give them so much to talk about which brings us to our final vocabulary word in this lesson;

FELONY

Jack Michaels: So what is a felony? Well, IDENTITY THEFT is a felony Derek. ASSAULT is a felony. ARSON is a felony. KIDNAPPING is a felony. PREMEDITATED ATTEMPTED MURDER is a felony. All of these are pretty bad Derek and, in case I am mistaken, you pretending to be Jonathan Steele and attacking a comatose cancer patient are identity theft and assault. Oh and of course stealing Jon North from Mexico and then burning a church down while he is bound inside it would probably cover the kidnapping, arson and premeditated attempted murder charges. Now, as you always like to point out, I am getting pretty old so my memory is not quite what it used to be but for five felony charges you might be looking at quite a long… LONG time playing soap on a rope with Bubba here in Arlington. In fact three of those charges can carry life sentences alone… But it’s not like these fine officers are going to find you right? Oh but wait… You are Derek Daniels and it’s ALL ABOUT YOU. I mean who else would take the DVD off of your door and play it in a Blu-Ray device registered in your name right? Oh damn… You didn’t hook it up to the internet too though did you??? Oh well I am sure they are going to waiting for when that IP pops up on the radar eh?

(The cops all scramble off screen leaving Jack alone. The camera pulls in closer as Jack’s smile fades into a sneer.)

Jack Michaels: I warned you son. I warned you not to turn on the Mean Machine School of Wrestling and I told you I was going to ruin everything I helped create in you. Everything you’ve known is going to come crashing down because your lessons are finally over. Oh and good luck getting out of this one because at least for me… IT’S GOING TO BE A BLAST!!! Enjoy prison you prick.

(Jack winks and smiles slyly as the DVD ends.)

----END TAPE----

(Derek looks up in a combination of pure hate and fear as suddenly there is a pounding at the door.)

OFFICER: THIS IS THE POLICE! WE HAVE A WARRANT FOR DEREK DANIELS AND WE KNOW YOU ARE IN THERE.

(Derek jumps out of his chair and begins to race for the window we he notices that the police have blacked it out. He turns towards the door.)

OFFICER: MR. DANIELS. YOU HAVE 10 SECONDS TO OPEN THIS DOOR OR WE WILL HAVE TO USE FORCE.

(Derek’s eyes dart back and forth as we hear a vent pop and a gas gun get pointed down from the ceiling. He looks up as the camera fades to black…)

DEREK DANIELS
ROLEPLAY: 3/4
WRITTEN BY: Jon North

We open up from the last time we saw Derek Daniels, which is stuck in his locker room with police on all sides. They keep banging on the door as Derek looks for a way out. He looks around, running from one side to another frantically. He has no idea what to do. Finally he walks over to the couch and jumps up to the tiled ceiling in the locker room and pushes through. Right before he is about to pull himself up, the cop yells at him again.

Cop: Alright Daniels, we warned you. Your time is up…Three…Two…One…Someone cover me, go go go go.

The door bursts open with the help of about four cops and more file into the room as the lead cop tackles Derek out of mid air and causes him to hit the floor hard. Derek winces as he begins to yell and throw a fit.

“Dynamic” Derek Daniels: I am the god damned Undisputed champion of the EWE…You can’t do this to me! You can’t do this to me I say! Put me down damn it!

They roughly throw him down onto the floor again and turn him over to his stomach where he still fights to get away but they also try to cuff his feet, but Derek is kicking and screaming like a ten year old.

“Dynamic” Derek Daniels: No! No! I want my lawyer on hand; stop this madness right now…DO YOU KNOW WHO I AM? I AM DEREK DANIELS.

The cop literally hits Derek across the face with his forearm and causes Derek to turn his head as blood trickles down his chin from a busted lip.

Cop: We know who you fucking are. You are a god damned criminal, I don’t care if this is wrestling or not. You are under arrest, you have the right to remain silent if you—

Derek is being picked up and carried out of the room and begins screaming and kicking again. They try and take him through the door but he puts two feet solid against the door frame and won’t let them drag him through. They finally knock his feet away and carry him through with Derek yelling the whole time through the arena. Many superstars peek out of their doors to see what’s going on and when we get near the cop cars we see Jack Michaels standing by and watching with his arms crossed and a smirk on his face. Derek sees him.

“Dynamic” Derek Daniels: YOU! You did this! You were the one who set this up. I’ll kill you, I swear I’ll kill you, I’ll rip you limb from limb.

Jack doesn’t say a word and the cop slaps Derek in the head with the long stick that the cops carry around and Derek’s head bounces from the impact.

Cop: You idiot, that’s a threat. You’re just adding on to your rap sheet kid if you keep this up you’ll be in prison for the rest of your life…If we are lucky.

Jack walks away without saying a word and as the cops turn the corner, all we can hear is the screams from Derek Daniels, but they suddenly stop and the screen slowly fades to black as we fade out on Jack walking away.

The scene opens up in what seems to be a prison, or a jail house. A rough looking Derek Daniels is behind a thick, glass screen with a phone beside him as EWE cameras sit down. We can’t see any cops behind him but he is wearing the orange jump suit that all prisoners wear with a number on it. The number reads 4242011. Derek picks up the phone and it rings across to the EWE cameras, someone picks it up as we hear Derek Daniels voice on the other end.

“Dynamic” Derek Daniels: I have prepared a statement for the EWE world and for the lives of those I have ruined. First I would like to apologize to the EWE for my mistakes. I should have been a good champion, I should have been an example for all of the kids and all of my fans, but I wasn’t. I made mistakes and I was blind. I’ve now realized those mistakes as I sit in my jail cell every night. I regret what I did to Jon North. I didn’t mean for a simple match to go this far. I didn’t mean for everything to turn out with Jack like it did. I want to apologize to my mother for saying bad things about her on the air.

It appears that Derek Daniels is fighting to hold back tears as he looks forward. His eyes don’t really meet the camera lens as he is looking off and to the side as he reads off of a piece of paper.

“Dynamic” Derek Daniels: I would like to ask EWE nation and Jon North to help me get out of here in a decent amount of time. Which brings me to my next topic..I won’t be making…Wrestlemania…I won’t be headlining Wrestlemania anymore….In fact, I will be stripped of my Undisputed Title and it will be placed around the waist of Jack Michaels during what should have been the main event at Wrestlemania. It would have been a damn good match.

Derek is very emotional reading the piece of paper before him and it trembles in his hand as he looks up at the camera, it looks like tears could very well come spilling over from his eyes.

“Dynamic” Derek Daniels: That brings me to my last topic, of Jack Michaels. Jack has clearly gotten the best of me this time…And this time…Well, I’m just going to have to grit my teeth and bear it. I should have never picked a fight with someone of Jack’s charisma and daring and it was my fault, my fault. It isn’t about me anymore, it’s about me rotting and dying alone in this jail cell, and I have to say…I deserve each and every minute I spend in here. Every time I look at the blank wall before me, I see what could have been. Me standing in the middle of the ring with my hand raised, the Undisputed Championship over my shoulder and the crowd, chanting my name…DDD…DDD…DDD…Ahh…It just felt like yesterday when I was the biggest fan favorite in the business. Next to Sean Lewis, I was the people’s champion. Now look what I’ve become…Now look at me....LOOK AT ME...LOOK AT WHAT I HAVE BECOME

Derek stands up to reveal the chains and handcuffs that bind him together so he couldn’t make a move if he wanted to. He shakes his head and then puts his head in his hands.

“Dynamic” Derek Daniels: I never wanted it to go this far, but anger and some demons I’ve not laid to rest just kept egging me forward and pushing me beyond the brink of what I knew I couldn’t—and wouldn’t do. Jack, you know Derek Daniels would never do those things, you know Derek Daniels would always put the fans first and himself second, you know Derek Daniels would always think of what is right and do that first instead of what I’ve done. Now I have blood on my hands and I’ll never let it rest…Jack…If you can find it in your heart, just this once…To come to this jail house, come to this prison I’m in and…Forgive me…Forgive me and let me at least be free…I want to also say I’m sorry again to those in the EWE nation.

Derek slowly props his elbows up on the table and still has his head in his hands. He looks to be on the verge of crying again as he looks up at the camera.

“Dynamic” Derek Daniels: I want to apologize to each and every one of you…If you believed this, if you really thought The Dynamic One was going to be put in jail.

Derek smirks and stands up and breaks off the plastic handcuffs that bind his hands and then off of his feet as well as he looks down at his orange jumpsuit and back up to the camera with one of his classic smirks.

“Dynamic” Derek Daniels: No…I don’t want to apologize….I want to say that I’m sorry for making everyone out there feel like a giant twat for actually believing this. Jack, did you really think you could get me thrown in jail? Did you really think I would come to terms with myself and stop all this if you just got me thrown in the pen? Are you THAT scared of me, are you THAT worried that I will MURDER you at Wrestlemania that you have to call the cops…That’s not the Jack Michaels I know…That’s a worried and scared little old man that is scared of what is about to happen to him.

Derek looks at the set that he’s build, he kicks over the table and piece of glass and it shatters, he rips down the curtain behind him and now we see we are in a gym somewhere…The place looks somewhat familiar. Derek points to the number on his jumpsuit with a grin.

“Dynamic” Derek Daniels: 4242011…The date that will forever be sealed in your memory Jack…4/24/11, the date of Wrestlemania, the day that I crush you and the day that will live in infamy as the day Jack Michaels failed to do something that he said he would do. It will be the day where Jack Michael fans all over the arena will be crying, begging you not to go, but you will have to choice. I know just as well as you do Jack, you may have one more match left in you, but that’s it. I bet you’re wondering how I got out Jack…Well, I’ll show you…I have a DVD for you…

He pulls a DVD out of his jumpsuit and we make out way over across the gym where wrestling rings are set up in the middle with some basketball hoops. We find a television there and Derek slowly slides in the DVD and it begins playing.

BEGIN TAPE:

We see Derek Daniels being carted off, all of the cops holding him, trying to take him to the cop cars, instead of fading out on Jack, this time the camera stay with Derek Daniels and we see him heading toward the cop cars, still kicking and screaming. As they try and load him into the car, Michael Jensen, one of the most powerful men in wrestling slowly comes walking down the ramp to where the cop cars are parked.

Michael Jensen: Gentlemen…What seems to be the problem here? What are you doing with the EWE’s Undisputed Champion?

The cops stop dead as they look at Jensen, obviously intimidated by him as they drop trying to get Derek in the car for a moment and turn around.

Cop: We have arrested Mr. Daniels here on charges for a case of arson, kidnapping of the first degree, threatening to kill, reckless endangerment…Among other things…Wrestling cannot break the law Mr. Jensen…

Jensen laughs and keeps walking down towards the cars where Derek Daniels is watching him strangely as he walks down towards the cops and slowly pulls out his wallet and begins flipping through it.

Michael Jensen: Look gentlemen. I know you people of Texas are dumb and you don’t have much education, but look…This is wrestling…It’s called a storyline….None of this is real…Jack Michaels just wants to take the easy way out and try and get Derek locked up so he would not have to face him…How about I make a generous donation to the Arlington Police department and we pretend this whole thing never happened?

The cops look around to one another for a moment before the lead cop shrugs and then they begin to take off the handcuffs on Derek’s hands and arms as Derek can’t believe what he is seeing.

Cop: S-Sure I guess that would be sufficient. We had no idea that this was a part of the show…Are we going to be on TV or anything—not that I care but I would like to show the wife and kids.

Money talks as Jensen slides the check smoothly into the cops hands as they all apologize to Derek who rubs his head and steps out of the circle of cops who all walk over to glance at the check with surprise on their face.

Michael Jensen: Now run along and do some good work for this city instead of worrying about what the EWE is doing, we’ll be out of town in just a few days…Good day gentlemen…Derek…My office please.

They cops all completely ignore Derek now as he walks off with Jensen, Derek can’t believe it as the cops drive off and Jensen slowly walks toward his office, neither of them say a word. Jensen opens his office door with a smooth smirk as Derek enters, looking a bit uneasy, the first time we’ve saw this face out of Derek since No Love Lost. Derek walks in a takes a seat and Jensen slams a fist into the desk.

Michael Jensen: Jack Michaels…I want him beaten to a pulp and I want him out of EWE…But you already know that and you want the same thing I do. He just tried to ruin the main event at Wrestlemania, do you realize how much money that would have cost me if he would have done that? Can you even fathom the amount of people I would have to pay back…Jesus Christ…

Michael Jensen slips into his giant armchair behind his elaborate desk and rocks back and forth for a moment before looking at Derek.

Michael Jensen: Look, you’ve caused way more problems for me in the EWE since your comeback, but I’m going to put that behind us, you want the same thing I want…MMSW gone from EWE for good. I literally just saved your ass and mine back there…You owe me Derek Daniels…And part of you owing me is to put Jack Michaels out of commission at Wrestlemania. What you did to Jon North—great, what you did to Dutch—great. I want you to inflict Jack with twice as much pain as you did those men, but this pay back will entail much more than that…Shake on it?

Michael Jensen extends his hand across the desk at Derek, Derek looks at it for a moment, you can for only a moment see Derek falter as he extends his hand but hesitates, then the smirk comes on and Derek shakes Jensen’s hand with a firm handshake.

“Dynamic” Derek Daniels: You got it…Boss…

Derek smirks back at Jensen as the two shake hands for a bit before Derek slowly stands up and nods to Jensen and then slowly leaves the room and the door shuts behind him as Jensen leans back in his chair and places his feet up on the desk.

END TAPE:

We open back up now with Derek standing in the middle of the ring. We notice where he is now and flash back to an earlier Derek Daniels buying a new Mean Machine School of Wrestling for MMSW since Johnny burned the other one to the ground. Using his money and pay check he bought the new rings, new weights and everything…Now Derek seems to be in the building and holds up a key.

“Dynamic” Derek Daniels: So I guess I’m at it again right? Breaking and entering, actually I still have a key to this place I bought to further young wrestling careers. Well, you can find a new building Jack, because all week I’ve been picking major parts of the MMSW apart. All week I’ve been taking them out with the legs which the MMSW stands on…Myself, Dutch Clark and Jon North…I left, took out Clark and North and now…I take your building away. When I sign these papers…

Derek pulls out the papers from his pocket of his orange jump suit which he still has on, he smirks and signs them with a big loopy signature.

“Dynamic” Derek Daniels: The building Is now official property of Derek Daniels. So I guess lose, lose for you Jack. If you’re thinking about breaking in and doing something…Do it…But now I introduce you to…The Derek Daniels school of Wrestling!

He opens his arms in the ring with a laugh as he looks around the building, none of the MMSW things remain that littered the place, and it’s now in a pile in the dumpster.

“Dynamic” Derek Daniels: You see, I still don’t get you Jack, I don’t get it. You still insult me, you still try and bring me down but I don’t see how it’s possible that you don’t see what is happening. You are trying to bring someone down when they are at the lowest of lows. You want to make fun of me for working as a caddy at a golf course? Ohh, what an insult…Do you not realize that I don’t care? And I embrace and acknowledge everything you say…A douchebag? Yes…Delusional, maybe so…A felon? Haha…Not anymore you imbecile.

Derek laughs as he slowly removes the jumpsuit to reveal his normal attire of a black t-shirt with a design on it with DDD on the front and a pair of ragged out jeans.

“Dynamic” Derek Daniels: I have yet to see anything with you Jack that impresses me. I have yet to see anything from you that I should be worried about. Your time is running out Jack…Where is the Jack Michaels of old? Can someone tell me? I think the nursing home at this point…Jack…All that training, all of that nonsense that you are trying to do…Is going to come crashing down around you unless you bring back that old Jack Michaels we all know…But I fear he’s dead…I fear he’s no more…And what’s the use of beating an old man to a pulp without meaning?

Derek smirks as he hops out of the ring and walks towards the door where he opens it and light filters throughout the room.

“Dynamic” Derek Daniels: You can bring Joe Puffs in as your manager, you can bring Dutch Clark back from his sickness, you can heal Jon North of his wounds…But you can’t bring me back Jack, you may have nothing to lose, but I don’t care anymore…And that’s a dangerous thing for you Jack…I know you, I know everything you can bring to the table…The dangerous part? You have no idea what I’ve become or what I’m capable of…Because this match isn’t about you Jack...It’s all…ABOUT…ME!

He walks out of the door and slams it behind him leaving the new Derek Daniels School of wrestling sitting there alone in the darkness.

JACK MICHAELS
ROLEPLAY: 3/4
WRITTEN BY: Dustin Markowitz

“A lot of people have asked why we chose to induct “The Blast” Jack Michaels and Anti-Steel into the inaugural class of the EWE Hall-of-Fame since their stays in EWE were so brief. The simple fact is that both men were so heavily accomplished prior to joining EWE that it felt almost insulting not to show them the respect they deserved. In the case of Jack Michaels the man literally ran the gauntlet of the wrestling world from 1999 to 2005 defeating any and all that stood in his way. He won numerous championships and, in his little under two months in EWE, defeated the who’s who of our fine federation. If dominating the wrestling world for seven years then being undefeated against the likes of White Tiger, Muhammad Hassan, Sean Lewis, Rikku, Mark Cha0s, Johnny Chaos, Brooke McGuire and Assassin doesn’t earn you a spot in a Hall-of-Fame… Then we should be ashamed to call ourselves wrestling experts.”

Shane McMahon in PWI Magazine 07-17-2006

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

(The camera opens up with a shot of a desolate looking gym somewhere in the downtown Arlington area. As we pan down through the streets we see that it is a burned out shell of a building with the remnants of a sign which reads "Gold's Gym." We go inside where we hear grunts and groans coming from the old heavy bag portion of the building. When we get there we see that there are two men using one of the older and charred bags. Dressed in a white tank-top and khaki shorts is Jack Michaels with hands wrapped bashing away at the bag. There is a thick cloud of ash coming off of the bag and we see holding is former manager of Jack and Derek Daniels in Joe Puffs. After several stiff shots Jack steps back and surveys the damage as Joe nods and walks around Jack while speaking...)

Joe Puffs: Looking good champ...Looking good. You remind me of a young Jack Michaels. You are what... His dad? Heh heh...

(Jack rolls his eyes and cracks a smile.)

Jack Michaels: Real funny Joe. HILARIOUS.

(Joe smirks as Jack throws a couple light jabs and Joe goes back behind the bag.)

Joe Puffs: I tell ya... You are scaring me a little bit with what you are doing here. I mean you do KNOW what you are doing here right?

Jack Michaels: Yeah Joe, getting myself ready to do what I do best. Of course I am not going to lie… I don’t think Derek is going to be making Wrestlemania unless Arlington Prison has an indoor arena.

(Jack laughs as Joe cocks his head sadly.)

Joe Puffs: Not funny Jack. The kid might get put away for life you know.

(Jack shrugs.)

Jack Michaels: He deserved it and you know it Joe.

Joe Puffs: Well yeah but it still seems a little… Squeamish on your behalf.

(Jack stops swinging.)

Jack Michaels: “Squeamish?”

Joe Puffs: Yeah. I’m not saying it’s true but the rumor mill is pounding that you were just scared to get into the ring with Derek and you know what we are talking about here so don’t give me that pissed off look. I mean hell… To beat Derek Daniels is kind of like going out to beat yourself Jack... And beating Jack Michaels... Well... That's something else entirely is it not? So you got to ask yourself truthfully here Jack... Can the 40 year old version of you beat the 28 year old version of you in a match? And maybe, just maybe, making so he can’t get to the match is a good way out.

(Jack uncorks a right hand which shakes the bag and causes Joe to stumble a bit. Jack cocks an eyebrow.)

Jack Michaels: I'm not looking to beat my shadow Joe... I'm looking to burn it, bury it and piss on the ashes. And to be blunt… The fact that you of all people would even ENTERTAIN that rumor make me disgusted Joe. Those were your friends too… And you have seen what Derek has done to everything we have done for him.

Joe Puffs: But Derek is...

Jack Michaels: A piss-poor imitation and one that needs to be crippled. So let them believe what the want Joe… Derek is getting EXACTLY what he deserves.

(Joe's eyes widen as Jack throws a right cross and rocks the bag again.)

Joe Puffs: Come on Jack... This is Derek Daniels you are talking about here. He was like your son.

(Jack dances a bit and begins to throw jabs and crosses again as his eyes narrow on the bag.)

Jack Michaels: Like a son... As far as "The Blast" Jack Michaels is concerned... Derek Daniels is dead. Besides, he should be getting anally assaulted by the "Black Fairies" or the "Cuban Corksmokers" in Arlington Prison at this point so to be perfectly honest I am not even sure why I am still training this hard.

Joe Puffs: Because you know one way or another he is going to show up and that you're going to be in for the fight of your life.

(Jack unloads a left that rocks the bag and scoffs. Joe keeps in on him.)

Joe Puffs: Oh come off it Jack. You're not running your little promo videos... You're talking to me. Stop trying to be a little s**t and be yourself.

(Jack raises an eyebrow.)

Jack Michaels: I have never been anything but myself.

(Joe shakes his head and begins walking away from Jack.)

Jack Michaels: Where the hell are you going Joe?

(Joe turns around and shakes his head sadly.)

Joe Puffs: I don't know what to say here. You go through and get Derek arrested and then do what? Spout off about how happy you are that your former protégé is possibly in danger of being killed? What the hell is wrong with you man?

(Jack stops hitting and stares a hole through his old manager.)

Jack Michaels: What is your problem Joe???

Joe Puffs: YOU are becoming my problem here Jack. Why don’t you just admit why you took this match to begin with huh? You want to simply get back to the top and have all fame that you can’t be without. You are disgusting Jack.

(Jack grimaces deeply as he steps out and straight up to Joe.)

Jack Michaels: Okay Joe... Is that what you think? Have you been drinking the Kool-Aid that Derek has been serving? I mean where in the hell do you get off thinking I give a flying s**t about winning or glory huh? Haven't I done enough in my damn life where I CAN take something personal to me and do what's right? CAN I??? I mean what... Do you think this is some sort of joke for me at this point? Do you think this is some sort of joke for Dutch who is in the hospital? How about the millions of fans that he spit on in order to sell his soul to be the "alpha" of EWE? You're god damn wrong… This is personal to me and I couldn't care less about the glory. All I care about is ending Derek's career and I will do everything in my power to turn him back into that sniveling worm who BEGGED me to help him succeed. If that means sending him to jail, then he goes to jail. If that means shooting him in his head with a shotgun then I will do it. I WILL DO WHAT I HAVE TO DO.

Joe Puffs: Yeah, yeah… But can you still do it there “CHAMP” or are you just a limp-dicked shell of what you once were?

(Jack lets out a growl and whips around. He suddenly unleashes one of the most savage right hooks ever caught on camera and it literally tears the bag from it's chain and settles it on the floor. Joe stares at it in shock as Jack gets right up into his face.)

Jack Michaels: I am not your wrestler anymore and I am not the same Jack Michaels that cared about being the best. If you EVER dare question my motives again I will not HESITATE to paint the walls with your f**king teeth. You got that?

(Joe gulps slightly.)

Joe Puffs: Yeah Jack... I got it. Jesus… It doesn’t take as much to get you riled up like it used to…

(Jack backs off slowly.)

Jack Michaels: What? You were… Trying to pump me?

Joe Puffs: Yeah… Like the old days. I mean if anyone wants to see Derek go down more then you it’s me but I mean… You… You may be a little more pumped for this then I realized.

(Joe’s eyes doesn’t leave the bag as Jack sighs and walks by him to where a bench is. Jack sits down, grabs a bottle of water and takes a sip. Joe eventually walks over and sits down next to Jack.)

Jack Michaels: I’m stressed Joe and that’s the truth. I am extremely worked up over this and believe it or not I mean what I say. I actually think that if he does make bail or whatever and I was given the opportunity… I would actually consider killing Derek Daniels.

(Joe looks up at Jack.)

Joe Puffs: That’s pretty brutal. But let me as you this though… Do you think it’s possible that under all of that hate and malice that Derek shows that the kid you once trained is still there?

(Jack shrugs.)

Jack Michaels: I really don’t know and at this point… I really don’t care. Does that make me a bad person Joe?

(Joe pats Jack on the shoulder.)

Joe Puffs: No Jack… It just means you care about everyone he has hurt.

(Jack nods and he stands back up loosening up his muscles a bit. Joe looks down at the downed heavy bag and shrugs.)

Joe Puffs: Well Jack, I think hitting the bag is now out. Um… What’s the plan?

(Jack looks down at the bag on the floor and then up at Joe.)

Jack Michaels: Well my old friend… I think that maybe, just maybe, I need to go do something to relax. Golf was fun but I think I need something a little more upbeat.

(Joe thinks it over.)

Joe Puffs: Back in the 80s it was hookers and blow.

(Jack begins to laugh and then sees Joe is being serious. Jack shakes his head.)

Jack Michaels: No… I think we should keep to stuff that is legal Joe.

(Joe shrugs.)

Joe Puffs: Then I’m out of ideas for this one.

(Jack snickers a bit.)

Jack Michaels: Well I’m not worried. Something always seems to come up and… And… No way…

(Jack’s attention is drawn to the adjacent door where someone has just walked in. Joe is quick to whip around to and his jaw drops at the sight.)

Joe Puffs: DUTCH?!?!?

(Walking with a cane but otherwise looking rather healthy is none-other-then “The Irish Fury” Dutch Clark. Dutch has a big smile on his face and Jack and Joe rush over to greet their student.)

Jack Michaels: But… You were all banged up by Derek???

Dutch Clark: Well yeah… The guy got me like ten hours after they successfully figured out what the hell was wrong with me.

Jack Michaels: But you had cancer…?

Dutch Clark: No… I had VALLEY FEVER. It caused growths on my Liver but they figured it out! Granted they wanted me to stay in the hospital but you know me… I hadn’t had a beer in like 2 months so I snuck out and got absolutely hammered… Of course mixing alcohol with the drugs they had me on was probably a bad idea but in retrospect I didn’t feel a damn thing when Derek kicked the piss out of me that night. I owe him for that… But I don’t need to worry about it. Jack Michaels is going to be doing it for me! Well either that or whoever is dipping their wick into his cornhole at this point.

(Dutch smiles broadly as Jack is forced to chuckle and motions to the cane.)

Jack Michaels: So still feeling the effects of the Fever?

(Dutch nods.)

Dutch Clark: Yeah and I will for a while but otherwise I am healthy as a horse which is why I flew down here. I have got some very important business to attend to.

(Jack raises an eyebrow.)

Jack Michaels: Which is?

Dutch Clark: Well first is watching you kick Derek’s ass all over Texas if he manages to show up for the match and second is to go see Christy and take care of something I been wanting to do for a while.

Jack Michaels: Really Dutch?

(Dutch nods.)

Dutch Clark: Yeah Jack… I’ve been waiting and I think it is time.

(Jack nods as Joe is completely in the dark.)

Joe Puffs: You flew all the way to Texas just to get laid???

(Dutch and Jack both stare at Joe.)

Dutch Clark: No Joe… Well… Yes Joe but no…

(Jack steps past Joe and claps Dutch on the shoulder.)

Jack Michaels: Well good luck son. I wish you the best.

Dutch Clark: Thanks Jack. Now if I am not mistaken I heard you were looking to go do something fun to relax a bit. As it so happens there is a really good bar right down the road here which happens to be adjacent to a Little Caesars.

Jack Michaels: Go figure.

(Dutch shrugs as Jack nods.)

Jack Michaels: All right Dutch, lets go have a drink. It should be fun!

Dutch Clark: No Jack… IT WILL BE A BLAST!!!

(Jack frowns.)

Jack Michaels: That’s gimmick infringement.

(The two start laughing as they walk out the door with Joe following them shaking his head.)

Joe Puffs: A pissed off Jack Michaels… A cancer free Dutch Clark… An incarcerated Derek Daniels… God help us all.

(Joe smiles before he follows them out the door and the camera fades to black…)

WrestleMania 7 - 04/24/11 Empty Re: WrestleMania 7 - 04/24/11

Thu May 04, 2023 8:37 pm
DEREK DANIELS
ROLEPLAY: 4/4
WRITTEN BY: Jon North

The scene opens in Cowboy’s Stadium arena and we see the locker room of Derek Daniels. The Undisputed Title sits there on the coffee table, glittering and glowing brilliantly as the lights in the locker room are dimmed. Nobody can be seen yet, until slowly the door comes open and Derek Daniels, already in his ring attire for the event slowly comes walking into the room with a ton of video tapes in his hand. Each one is labeled something different. He walks into the room, walks to the couch and sits down in front of the television. He looks thoughtfully at the Undisputed Title before he speaks and then looks over at the tapes.

“Dynamic” Derek Daniels: When someone graduates from the Mean Machine School of Wrestling, they are required to watch videos of themselves…Now DVD’s I supposed…But they are required to be able to tell the teacher how they progressed, what lessons they learned. Of course when I graduated from MMSW, I didn’t want to watch these videos. I didn’t want to see a weak, scrawny, Derek Daniels flopping around in the ring like Jack Michaels. I wanted to see what I could become. I’m not one to look back on the past. I hate flashing back, but this…This requires a few flash backs…

He holds the tapes in the air, there are several of them and he barely can hold them all in one hand as he looks toward the television. He stands up and slowly walks toward the TV and slides one of the tapes in and it begins to play…

2003…MMSW Graduate: Derek Daniels.

It’s a younger Derek Daniels. He isn’t as filled out as he is now but it’s a still shot of him coming fresh out of MMSW, a graduate. He has his hands on his hips, red tights on and a basketball headband around his head. The video begins to start and it’s Joe Puffs behind the camera with Jack Michaels beside him, they seem to be scouting out some talent in a local gym where some guys are playing some pickup basketball. We see Derek running down the floor and grabbing a lob and jumping up, putting the ball off of the glass. He moves a bit slower than the rest, but you can also see a knee brace on his knee. We hear Joe’s voice break in.

Joe Puffs: What about that guy?

Jack looks around the court.

Jack Michaels: Who?

Joe Puffs finger can be seen pointing toward Derek who grabs a rebound and takes off running toward the other end of the floor, despite being 6’6” he is pretty athletic and agile with the ball as he dribbles in for a spinning layup and then runs back down the court on defense.

Jack Michaels: Meh…I’m looking for someone who fits the part, he looks to be a little slow on his feet, do you know his name? I know you come down here often.

Joe turns the camera around and you can see many other cameras are there too scouting some of the guys playing ball.

Joe Puffs: His name is Derek Daniels, a legend around these parts…A winner. All American in every sport, went pro in basketball and got drafted late to the Laker’s at power forward only to be put out of the league by a knee injury. His contract runs out soon, many of these guys are looking to sign him.

Jack seems a bit more interested now as he watches Derek grab yet another loose ball and as time expires he drills a three and then lets out a yell and thumps his chest with a laugh.

Jack Michaels: I love his energy. Is he into wrestling?

Joe stammers a bit over this question.

Joe Puffs: Well, I-I don’t think so…He does look the part though, we can always work on his quickness. We need a marketable guy Jack if you want this school to get off the ground.

We follow Derek while still listening to the voice of Jack and Joe bantering back and forth about the young man they are watching. Finally Jack agrees to talk to him.

Jack Michaels: I’ll talk to him, but I’m not about to have to deal with some egotistical nut case who couldn’t hack it in the NBA…We need wrestlers…Not guys who look the part.

Jack makes his way over to Derek and the two talks for a moment. Derek points to him a bit like he recognizes him and Jack nods and laughs. Jack looks much younger and fit…Derek fails in comparison but is still interested. Jack hands him a card and slaps him on the shoulder with a smile on his face and walks away. Joe watches as he comes back.

Joe Puffs: So?

Jack nods a bit while smiling.

Jack Michaels: I like the kid, said he was a big fan, watched me a couple of times in Reno—that’s where he’s from. Said if the basketball thing didn’t work out he would look into wrestling…Always been a fan…Now we just wait and hope….You’ve always got an eye for talent, Joe.

Joe nods and Jack smiles while Derek moves back to the court to go into another game, sweat pours down his body but he isn’t about to stop playing..The tape pauses and Derek is sitting there shaking his head.

“Dynamic” Derek Daniels: This moment is one that will live in history for the rest of my life. Do I regret this decision? Probably not, but after this I went home and I called the coaches that were thinking about signing me, I called my mom, my dad…I told them that I was giving up basketball and my dream to play in the NBA…For wrestling…For WRESTLING…Do I regret who taught me? If I would have known then, what I know now…Yes….Jack…You are a different man from this video…YOU turned your back on ME…You put some green, bland guy in the EWE and you supported him while your student was busy on drugs and working at a GOD DAMN golf course….What is that Jack? Is that any way to treat the student who PUT YOU ON THE MAP?

Derek presses play and the film changes to that of Derek in the ring for the first time. We see that Jack is a little warmer towards Derek now but that doesn’t stop him from getting on to him pretty hard. Derek hits the ropes once and drops down to dodge a clothesline from an unknown wrestler in the ring and Derek hits off the ropes only to be hit with a drop kick. Jack blows his whistle and we hear him and Jack discussing something behind the camera as Derek takes a breather, talking to the wrestler who just drop kicked him.

Jack Michaels: I knew he would be as green as a leaf when he stepped into the ring, but not this bad. The kid just thinks about crushing his opponent, and he’s all about show boating you can tell that…What am I going to do?

Joe chuckles from behind the camera and Jack looks at him.

Jack Michaels: What?

Joe whispers slightly to Jack so the wrestlers around can’t hear.

Joe Puffs: I said the same thing about you when you were an up and comer in the ring Jack, you’re being too hard on the kid. Go in there and show him to premeditate moves.

Jack smiles a bit and crawls into the ring with Derek, he shows Derek that when he comes hard off of the ropes to grab them and pause in that situation, causing the other man to go for a drop kick and miss. He slaps Derek playfully on the head.

“Dynamic” Derek Daniels: Thanks Jack, you’re the best…I know I’m not the best at this by any means, but I’m going to keep working at it, and one day I can only hope to be as good as you.

Jack gives Derek one of his cocky smirks.

Jack Michaels: You have to wake up early to be as good as The Blast, kid…Now get to work on that move I taught you and let’s see what you got.

Derek gives Jack a humble smile and after a try or two he finally holds onto the ropes instead of bouncing off, causing the man in the ring to miss a drop kick. Derek capitalizes with a german suplex and Jack claps his hands.

Jack Michaels: THAT is what I’m talking about young fella’ you’ve earned yourself a water break on that one. Get out and let these other guys try.

Derek smiles again and slides out of the ring and makes his way over to the water cooler where Jack makes his way over and puts an arm around Derek. Derek pauses it on his image.

“Dynamic” Derek Daniels: You were like a god damned father to me Jack. Young kids, in Vegas for the first time on their own…So many distractions, yet you kept me focused and determined. You even gave me my first nick name…”Determined” Derek Daniels…And my brother…”Dynamic” David Daniels. Soon that nickname would change as David wasn’t involved in wrestling any more…Look at this picture Jack…LOOK AT IT. That’s the way we used to be…That’s the way we used t live, now look…You’ve forsaken me for a man who will probably never wrestle again and a school full of nobodies…You made this happen Jack…You brought this on yourself…I WAS YOUR PRIZED STUDENT…And I hope when you see this, you realize that I wasn’t the beer swilling, ignorant cunt face like Dutch was…I was young, prideful and I watched your matches…I studied your ways…I studied your promo’s your end ring technique…Where did it get me…It took me this many years to realize that I could have done this myself the whole time…But there’s more…..

Derek hits play again and we skip ever farther forward. The Derek in front of us now is more of a machine than anything else. He’s ripped and now his in ring technique is flawless. He’s been working a few shows, and finally we see him destroy the person he is wrestling in the ring for over five minutes when Jack comes walking up to the camera holding a piece of paper.

Jack Michaels: Well, it’s paid off…Someone is offering to give Derek and David a contract in their fed as a tag team. I knew this kid had it in him…I can’t wait to tell him…He’s earned it.

Jack blows his whistle and gathers everyone up and Derek leans on the ropes as Jack slides into the ring and smiles and looks around, he’s beaming.

Jack Michaels: I just want to announce, that after a year of training under us…One couldn’t be here today, but the other…Derek Daniels is ready to graduate…He’s going to be joining a federation that’s going to be signing him to a contract, if he so chooses.

Derek looks shocked and then looks around. He embraces Jack for a moment as the rest of them cheer him on. He has tears in his eyes as he looks around, laughing, though tears are pouring. He looks over to Jack.

Derek Daniels: Jack—I—I don’t know what to say…I’ve worked hard but I didn’t think it was a reality to be actually signed somewhere and doing this…I—I…What can I say? Thank you for everything man…Seriously….I’ll never let you down…I’ll never forget my roots right here at the Mean Machine School of Wrestling.

Jack grins as he also has tears in his eyes and the two embrace again before Derek pauses the tape. A look of disgust on his face as he looks toward the screen.

“Dynamic” Derek Daniels: Then we come to this, the first time I was ever introduced to a federation. I was scared Jack, I’m a man and I admit when I’m scared unlike you…I was scared shitless to wrestle out of the confines of the MMSW…I was a scared little boy, yet you helped me…You brought me through.. Now tonight I’ll stand against you…You honestly think I’m scared, you think I’m scared to get my ass beat tonight…I’m not Jack and you can think that I am…My world is miserable now Jack…I have no loved ones…No friends…No allies…No fans…But I wouldn’t have it any other way because at least now…Now I get to have my own spotlight…Now I get to go out and perform every night free of worry that I have to let someone dictate how I act, or someone is going to critique how I did a move…What are you going to do with a man Jack that is willing to make himself bleed, to hurt himself…To hurt you. Win or lose Jack…Tonight…I take a piece of you with me….No matter WHAT happens Jack…I end your career. No matter what happens, I’ll know that there will not be another Jack Michaels…Because I will have surpassed him.

We fast forward on the video to the graduation ceremony. Everyone is dressed up and the ring is done in red velvet as Jack is up talking on the microphone, wearing one of his nicest suits.

Jack Michaels: But tonight isn’t about me. It’s about a man whom I’ve seen work this ring more than any other, and quite frankly he is the best damn wrestler to come through this system that I have ever seen. One of these days, it isn’t going to be me in here teaching you guys the basics, it’s going to be Derek Daniels. I predict great, great things and you’ve not only been my student, but my son and my brother. I know you’ll do this name of MMSW proud…Derek Daniels ladies and gentlemen!

Derek stands up wearing a suit very similar to Jacks and looking just as smug. His mannerisms have changed. It’s more like Jack’s now; it’s more fluid and smooth. A smirk on his face as he moves up to the microphone and speaks into it. We pause though, right before he begins to speak. Jack and Derek look at one another and shake hands. We go back to Derek.

“Dynamic” Derek Daniels: When I graduated it was one of the greatest moments in my life Jack, it’s up there with graduating high school and college with a degree, but the fact that all of this would mean nothing in a few years…Means more than you’ll ever know. I saw the look in your eye when Dutch came through, does that make me envious…Yes it does…I am twice the man Dutch Clark is, and that is where this whole thing starts Jack. That is where you and I are on two different levels. That night two of the greatest wrestlers to ever lace them up would stand side by side, it was us against the world, yet we never, ever got in the ring to face one another…You don’t know how many nights Jack I’ve sat and dreamed about fighting you in the ring.

Derek nods and shakes his head.

“Dynamic” Derek Daniels: You don’t know how many fan websites, how many people involved with MMSW, they all wanted to see the dream match, the ultimate teacher versus student and now they get to see it all. Good versus bad…Teacher versus student…But something changes all of this Jack and it’s the fact that you are trying to take MY Undisputed Title away…This title…It means nothing to me…It’s gold and leather, it’s heavy…What means more to me is how I got it…You see one year ago at Wrestlemania, Johnny Chaos beat me and I got put through a table…A year later…I’m clean and I have the title around this beautiful waist, and by GOD it isn’t going anywhere.

Derek stands up and takes the tape out of the VCR and takes them all and chucks them against the wall and into a trash can. He looks back up toward the television.

“Dynamic” Derek Daniels: The outcome of this match will rest in the annals of EWE where it will forever be known as one of the greatest matches that has ever taken place in this federation. The result or the outcome isn’t going to stop that…But by God Jack…If you leave Wrestlemania walking, if you leave Wrestlemania able to wrestle again, then I’ve failed as your student. You always told me to go into the ring and give it the best you’ve got, and Jack…I’ll listen to you just this once when I bury you in that ring, over and over again. When I pound my fist into your head, when I break your fucking bones.

Derek stands up and grabs his title and looks in the mirror. He places the title around his waist and slides his shirt on over his top and then laces up his boots for the match.

“Dynamic” Derek Daniels: Nothing can save you Jack, and when you are nursing your injuries that you have sustained during the match and you are back in Las Vegas, licking your wounds…I want you to remember, the day that you signed me up for this wrestling gig. I want you to remember the day you let me into your school and I want you to regret the day that you laid eyes on me. I’m going to prove once and for all that I am the best student you have, or will ever have Jack. I’m going to beat the teacher, I’m going to KILL the teacher and I’m going to make you my bitch, time and time again. This isn’t personal Jack, this is for me…And I will be the one to put the teacher out of business. Tonight, the student becomes the teacher as I teach you lessons that you’ve never taught me in the ring Jack, nor did you think I ever had. Like I said earlier Jack…I AM YOUR GOD NOW….And Jack this isn’t about you….It’s all about me…And this….Haha…This is going to be a BLAST….

Slowly Derek leaves the ring to meet the man, the teacher and the legend…Jack Michaels, he turns off the light and shuts the door behind him as we fade to black.

JACK MICHAELS
ROLEPLAY: 4/4
WRITTEN BY: Dustin Markowitz

"You might think I’m old and that I have nothing to do anymore but I will be damned if I sit back and let you continue this rampage of suffering you are putting people through. You are nothing more then the same glorified jobber I defeated five years ago and you have done NOTHING to impress me sir. You have mocked and belittled EVERYTHING I, and people like me, have done for this sport. Do you think I went out of my way to injure legends because I wasn’t good enough to beat them? NO. I took my beatings and I came back AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN until they learned that “The Blast” Jack Michaels was not going to sit back and die. I continued coming until I OWNED the world of professional wrestling."

"The Blast" Jack Michaels to Johnny Chaos (Date Unknown)

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

(The camera opens up with a shot of a home video being played. On it we see a young man running the ropes in a ring in a brightly lit gym. A caption which reads “10-10-2003” is in the bottom right hand corner with the logo for the Mean Machine School of Wrestling. As we pan in closer we see it is none-other-then a younger “Dynamic” Derek Daniels dressed in shorts and a t-shirt and who is running out of breath. We decipher the voice of the cameraman as he steps up to the ring as Joe Puffs and he pulls in close to Derek…)

Joe Puffs (Unseen): Well ladies and gentlemen I am here with future wrestling legend “Dynamic” Derek Daniels. So Derek tell us… What do you plan to do when you finally sign a contract with a major federation?

(Derek smiles and deepens his voice a little doing a dead-on Jack Michaels impression.)

Derek Daniels: Well Joe, I am going to do what I have been doing all of my life. I am going to go out there and be the best that I can be all while kicking ass and taking names everywhere I go. And I promise you this… IT’S GOING TO BE A BLAST!!!

(We hear a clapping from off-camera and we turn to see “The Blast” Jack Michaels walking up towards the ring. Jack has on sweats and a HPW t-shirt and looks like he was working out in the gym. He slides in and laughs a little bit before putting his arm around Derek.)

Jack Michaels: Not bad kid… Not bad at all.

Derek Daniels: Hey, I got to try to be as good as the champ.

(Jack smiles again as Joe speaks again off-camera.)

Joe Puffs: (Unseen): So Jack, what do you think of our young protégé here?

Jack Michaels: The kid has a lot of talent and I truly think one day he will be the one leading the MMSW into the next decade.

(Derek looks at Jack and beams with pride.)

Derek Daniels: Thank you.

Jack Michaels: You’re welcome Derek but you don’t have to thank me. You are one of the greatest talents I have ever laid eyes on and you better believe that what I say is true.

Joe Puffs (Unseen): Oh so I guess you should be watching out then eh Jack? We might have another Jack Michaels on our hands eh?

(Jack smiles again.)

Jack Michaels: No… There is only one Jack Michaels but I think there is only going to be one Derek Daniels too. He has the ability to be the best wrestler the world has ever seen and I for one am looking forward to seeing what the future holds for Derek. He is my pride and joy and the best I ever had the pleasure of training.

(Jack removes his arm from around Derek and extends his hand in a handshake. Derek shakes his hand and smiles even broader.)

Derek Daniels: I appreciate that Jack… I won’t let you down.

(The tape is suddenly rewound.)

Derek Daniels: I won’t let you down.

(Rewound.)

Derek Daniels: I won’t let you down.

(Rewound.)

Derek Daniels: I won’t let you down.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

(The tape is stopped and we pull back with a shot of the interior of Jack Michaels' locker room mere minutes before his match with Derek Daniels. Jack sits alone in the center of the room with his head down after watching the tape on the TV in the room. He shuts off the TV and sighs before looking at the medical tape he is wrapping around his wrists and knuckles. He tightens it and tests the boxer style wrap job before a shout from the crowd in the arena gets him to look up. He smiles slightly and tilts his head up towards the camera...)

Jack Michaels: My god... Can you feel it Derek? Can you feel the power which is emulating from those thousands of fans who are going to witness the greatest spectacle to grace Arlington in years? It's Wrestlemania and it's time for us to do what we have been waiting for... Fight each other tooth and nail for the Undisputed title. But ultimately… This has gone beyond the title for both of us hasn’t it? As a matter of fact… I think this has gone beyond anything either one of us has ever fought for…

(Jack stands up slowly and throws a few shadow punches limbering his arms up. He turns back towards the small hutch in the back of the locker room and pulls out the robe he will be wearing to the ring. He smiles softly at the diamond encrusted wrapping with his name on the back and lets the gold threading shine in the light. He begins smoothing it out against the top of the hutch as he continues speaking.)

Jack Michaels: In a lot of ways Derek I should be thanking you for this opportunity. I mean if this was the Jack Michaels from say six months ago I would be in a dream world. All I could of cared about is that I would of had an opportunity to show the world what I can do out there... To show that Jack Michaels could still run with the best. Six months ago I would of relished this moment for what it is... Talking about my prior memories of being in this very spot and what I want to do now that I am back here. Talking about pinning Mike Blaze for my first ever HPW World title... Talking about jumping off of a ladder through a flaming table and the broken body of Rage... Talking about running wild in CCW... HPW... WFS... EWE... I could be talking about the good times Derek but sadly...

(Jack stops smoothing out the robe and looks up into the camera.)

Jack Michaels: Sadly, this isn't six months ago and this isn't the same Jack Michaels. I don't care about winning that gold nor do I care about even putting on a good show. It's almost as if I never had ambitions... I never had dreams... Hell, it's almost like I never even really knew why I was in this world to begin with until right now. You see right now I have a feeling that my life is going to have purpose. My life is going to have meaning and understanding. You see I understand what it is Jack Michaels is supposed to do now...

(Jack walks back towards the center of the room and begins to dance around a little bit to loosen up.)

Jack Michaels: I saw what happened between you and Michael Jensen. You sold your soul Derek... You sold your soul to be free when maybe, just maybe, prison was thing that could of helped you. It doesn't really matter in the end though because your comeuppance with come with a price my young friend. You see, you are still a shadow of me whether you want to admit it or not. You are a specter of what true greatness is and when I shove my fist through your skull and into your brain you might finally understand what it is I have been trying to tell you for all this time... It's not really about you Derek... It's about destroying you.

(Jack cracks his neck and grabs a bottle of water from the floor next to the chair. He takes a swallow and closes his eyes as he continues speaking...)

Jack Michaels: You had the audacity to tell me that I didn't know what you were capable of Derek... And with that one statement I knew that you had no idea what you actually had gotten yourself into. With that one statement I garnered that with all of your greatness, and achievements that you simply don't think. You don’t think and it’s the one thing that is going to become your undoing.

(Jack opens his eyes and glares into the camera.)

Jack Michaels: “Up yours Jack,” is probably what you are saying out loud when you watch this but really mull this one over. You see… You don't think because you have no clue the method to my madness at all. I mean did you really believe I was sleeping with your Mom and beating the s**t out of you just to get a rise Derek? You think I put you in jail and made a bunch of jokes just so you would get angry? No... Not at all. You question my methods but you don't understand them... You can only defile my teachings and make yourself look as scared and as pathetic as any other wrestler I have stepped into the ring with. You are no different then any of them Derek... No different then White Tiger, no different then Muhammad Hassan, no different then Mike Blaze and no different then yourself. You get mad and threaten me not to prove a point to me but to prove to yourself that you're not scared. But Derek... That burning in the pit of your stomach is not one of Snake's special brownies or the remnants of the injuries you sustained when you broke your back... No... It's simple fear.

(There is a knock at the door and Joe Puffs sticks his head in.)

Joe Puffs: Five minutes Jack. Are you ready for this?

Jack Michaels: I am always ready.

(Joe nods and smiles as the door is shut and Jack looks back to the camera.)

Jack Michaels: In five minutes you are going to understand once and for all what all of the other opponents I have stepped into the ring with came to understand. You will understand that your fear of my talent... My ability... MY GREATNESS will come to fruitition when I not only defeat you in the ring but crush your very soul under the heel of my boot. And the best part? Assume I am wrong Derek... Assume that for one solitary second that I am overstating what I am capable of doing to you. Then what... You get known as the guy who beat the 40 year old washed-up has-been at Wrestlemania? Big accomplishment. But what’s even better is that when I do beat you… Oh my… You get known as the biggest joke ever to set foot in the EWE ring. It's a no-win scenario for you Derek and you better believe that deep within my soul I am loving every single second of your torment.

(Jack grabs his robe off of the hutch and puts it on slowly. He ties it in the front before walking towards the door and reaching for the handle. He stops and turns once more to the camera.)

Jack Michaels: I have waited a long time for a moment like this to come… And I have accepted that this will be the last time I have this opportunity in my career. Some would say in my shoes that they are not going to waste the chance to be the champion. Some would say that they would do whatever it takes to pin your shoulders to the mat just to have the opportunity to once again be a World champion… But I tell you that it doesn’t matter. You see Derek… Win, lose or draw… I’m coming to hurt you. I’m coming to cripple you and I am coming to end the career of “Dynamic” Derek Daniels. So brace yourself because for I promise you, the MMSW, EWE and the fans around the world that when I step out there this will be the very last time it's all... About... YOU.

(Jack stares into the camera before opening the door and heading out into the hallway just as the first strains of “World’s Greatest” blares over the P.A. Our camera slowly fades out to black…)
